1Peter 3:13-22
¶ Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?
But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed.
AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED,
But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts,
always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.
For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.
For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.
Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.

{{{ to be zealous is to be Passionate to show enthusiasm, or devotion in the pursuit of the Lord and His ways, showing great interest, having your passion set firmly on Him, to know Him and to do His will.
We are to know by living in this manner there is no one who can harm you. No one can take you from the Lord

Romans 8:31-39
¶ What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who is against us?
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
Who will bring a charge against God’s elect?
God is the one who justifies;
who is the one who condemns?
Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised,
who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
Who will separate us from the love of Christ?
Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Just as it is written,
“FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.”
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Then we are told how we should live out our days;
“DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED,
But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts,
always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; and we are to keep a good conscience when we are slandered, for walking in obedience to the will of Christ Jesus.

We are shown that Christ Jesus only died once for all of us, believers and nonbelievers, that throw His death on the cross He has made it posable that all mankind has the opportunity to inter in to heaven to be with GOD.
At the death of His human body, He went before His Father, Father God, and proclaiming to the spirits in prison proclamation of the cleansing of the soles of those who accept Him as Lord.
That we might have the same relationship with the Father as He has, that we may take part in the same baptism and be cleansed and saved.
Not that the dirt be removed from our flesh, but that through the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord we can be as sons of the Father, Father God.

Through Christ death and resurrection, we have the opportunity to be seen as clean and acceptable in the sight of Father God.
But what it takes to receive the gift of salvation through Christs death and resurrection it excepting it, excepting Christ as Lord, repenting of our sins, excepting the forgiveness of our sins, confessing to Him our short comings and then obeying His commandments.

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Father God made it posable for us to live with Him in His kingdom.
We have been forgiven and cleansed; all we need to do is except the gift set before us, open it and dwell in it.

Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
And He said to him,
“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.
This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it,
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.
On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Have you excepted, and grasped firmly to the free gift of salvation from Father God and Christ Jesus?
Do you live by His commandments?
Or are you so attached to this world, the things and ways of this world that you can step away from them?

This gift is free, and is available to all, all who will reach out to Christ Jesus as their Lord.
Will you?
Have you?
And if you have, are you being obedient to His word?
The following are word spoken by Christ Jesus, what has been labeled the sermon on the mount.
What I like to call (Christ words as to how we are to live)

Matthew 7:21-
¶ “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
And then I will declare to them,
‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.

Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

If your foundation is not Christ Jesus, relies you may here the saddest word that will ever be spoken;
“”I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.””

Yes there are those who they say Christians, followers of Christ,
but do not follow Him in their hearts,
their foundation is still in the thing of this world not in Christ Jesus.

Don’t fool yourself, the gift of salvation is free, but you do have your part to play in it.
If you have given your whole life to Christ Jesus, Father God.
There is nothing that can take you from Him, but if you are trying to hold on to the worlds concepts, ways and things, how can you say you have excepted Christs salvation, and have surrendered to Christ? }}}

Think about where your heart is planted.
Is it planted firmly on the foundation of Christ Jesus?
or is one foot still searching for a foundation in this world?

{{{ Today we start off with “in the same way” so we need to look and see what that way is.
You can find that by reading 1Peter 2:13-25, or just go back and read the last posting. }}}

1Peter 3:1-6
In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,
as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.
Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.

{{{ a wife is to submit herself to her own husband, in the same manner she is to submit to the Lord.
Very clear cut, straightforward and simple if a wife is submissive to her own husband this is important for a wife to do so, for man leans to being distracted and summation of his wife can draw him back to following, obeying the word of the Lord. Could bring one to the conclusion that the man is actually the weaker vessel.

It is by the behavior if a wife, her chaste and respectful behavior toward her husband that can draws him back to the word of GOD.
Her external beauty will grab and hold his attention but it is her heart toward the Lord and toward his that will direct hie heart.
A wife with a gentle and quiet spirit, will entice him to do wright by her and to walk closer to the Lord.
And the Lord tells us a gentle and quiet spirit is precious in the sight of God.

A gentle and quiet spirit, should not only be the attribute of the wife but also the husband, for a gentle and quiet spirit is precious in the sight of God no mater who you are. }}}

1Peter 3:7
¶ You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

{{{ “ husbands in the same way” with a gentle and quiet spirit care for your wife AS with someone weaker, that does not mean she is weaker but you are to treat her as if she is, for in reality it looks as if the wife with a gentle and quiet spirit, has more strength when it come to dealing with her husband. With her inner beauty being that of a gentle and quiet spirit.
(a small rutter can turn a very large ship with little effort.)
Husbands do you want your prayers to be answered, it is simple; treat your wife with honor, show her respect for you are not any more valuable to GOD then she.
So keep your own heart pure before the Lord and toward your wife, for just as Christ loves His Church (His bride) we are to love our own wife. }}}

1Peter 3:8-12
¶ To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit;
not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead;
for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.
For,
“THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS,
MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEAKING DECEIT."
HE MUST TURN AWAY FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD;
HE MUST SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT.
FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE TOWARD THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER,
BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL.”

{{{ yes to sum up.
Go back and read 1Peter 3:8-12, can’t sum it up much better than that.

But will through this in:
To fulfill 1Peter 3 it is a great idea to consider 2Corinthians 6:14 before choosing a husband or wife.

King James 2Corinthians 6:14
¶ Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

1995 New American Standard 2Corinthians 6:14
¶ Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers,
Do not be bound together with unbelievers

To be bound to someone who dose not hold the same Christian moral values as you, will put you in a position to be drawn to the point of compromising your faith. And to disobeying the word of GOD. }}}

{{ Husbands and wives alike should love each other as they love the Lord GOD.
Each living with a gentle and quiet spirit with each other, being submissive first to the Lord GOD and then to each other.

For a tree cord rope cannot easily be broken.

If you are in a marriage with a non-Believer, make sure your heart is right with the Lord, start dealing with your husband or wife with a gentle and quiet spirit, allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you to draw them to the Lord. }}

1Peter 2:13-17
¶ Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.
For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.
Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.
Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.

{{{ as a follower of and believer in the Lord Jesus you should know that GOD does not ever give up His authority, nor does He weaken commandments to allow man to sin against His commandments.
A kings, a governors, a presidents authority never exceeds the authority of GOD.
And GOD has never given up His authority to man for him to overturn His (GOD’s) authority.
To honor is to show “High respect, as that shown for special merit; recognition or esteem.” Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king. }}}

1Peter 2:18-25
¶ Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are unreasonable.
For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person bears up under sorrows when suffering unjustly.
For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience?
But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
Christ Is Our Example
For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,
WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH;
and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds, you were healed.
For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

{{{ a few things here;
We as humans love to complain when we are treated badly and go through suffering, even those who say “I am a Christian.”
And most of the time (until recently) this is brought on by our own making, by words that weren’t needed, actions unwarranted or an attitude out of control.
We love to hold that chip on our shoulder, or hold a grudge, feel offended, O wow is me attitude.
Jesus as our example: beaten, spat upon, nailed to a cross and He never spoke out harshly, never became the victim, never complained, in fact He asked His Father to forgive them. Doing wrong you deserve to suffer, so why complain?
If you are doing the will of the Father (GOD) and you are brought to suffering, why complin you are doing the Fathers will and your reward will be in heaven, you are in His hands so do as we are told, “praise Him in all things, in all circumstances.

Point 2: “you were healed”
As humans it seems we are constantly concerned about our health.
Will run to a doctor for anything spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars and then clamming it is God’s will.
Do the research of where the drugs and medical practices used now days comes from.
If you read Geneses about the creation of man and the world and all in the world you will see that Jesus was with Father God, and creation was formed.
Then in the New Testament we are told of the birth of Jesus and of His life, the things He did and of those who were healed, through Him and His disciples. Now think about this; You just purchased a brand new car with ) miles on it, and a week later it breaks down, where do you take it?

You wouldn’t take it to the corner chop shop, would you?
(for those who don’t know what a chop shop is, it is a place that cuts up cars to sell the parts) No, you would take it back to the manufacture (the sales lot where you purchased it) and you would want it repaired with asthenic parts. Right.

The statement above “you were healed”
Some bibles say were healed by His strips (His strips were His wounds from being beaten for doing no wrong)
“you were healed”
Paste tense, it is, was done, it was completed.
It is just a manner of trust, faith and acceptance.
Faith in Christ not in a doctor.

Personally, i would rather die knowing i have trusting GOD, having my faith firmly planted in Him rather then to live knowing i put faith in a man rather than my creator, Lord and savior.
My redeemer and friend.

Controversial yes, but then so is the bible now days.
The choice is yours not mine to make for you, you do not and will not answer to me on judgment day, that you will do before the creator, and when He askes where was your faith planted?
Will you be able to say in you Lord, in you.
Or will you need to list off all the doctors you visited?

Through His suffering, His wounds, we were healed.
Go read the book of Job and see what GOD did for him,
Read Matthew where over and over Jesus says by your faith you have been held.
Not once did Jesus say O I can’t help you go find a doctor.
And He is not saying that today, what He is saying is come unto Me.
I will provide all your needs.

at least take the time to think about it.   }}}

{{ The book of Peter is so written is such a manner that there is not much to question the meaning of, stop reading and take the time to ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart mind and soul.
Then take the time to read on, read slowly and let the words of Peter soke in, allow the Lord our God speak to you, to your soul. }}

1Peter 2:1-3
¶ Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,
if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord. As Living Stones

1Peter 2:4-8
¶ And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture:
“BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”
This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve,
“THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,”
“A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE”;
for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed.

1Peter 2:9-10
¶ But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.

1Peter 2:11-12
¶ Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.
Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.

{{{ i hope, no i pray you took the time to allow the Holy Spirit to show you just how strong a foundation you have if you are planted in Christ Jesus, for He is the Corner Ston.
“you also, as living stones,
are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood,
to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
and that is who we are in Christ Jesus if we have given our lives over to Him and excepted His salvation. }}}

{{{ the return of the Lord is close, take the word of GOD and the things going on in the world today, look at them side by side and you can see prophases in the bible are being fulfilled.
The Lord Jesus Christ is at hand, His return is inevitable. Soon He will appear in the clouds to gather those who are His.
Will you be one of them?
Or will you be one just playing church?
And left behind. }}}

We, as followers of and believers in Christ Jesus, have a Living Hope, and a Sure Salvation. Peters letter not only to those who were alive at that time, but also to each of us today, explains that in His letter. Please read, ask the Holy Spirit to show you the depth of His love and of our salvation,Your salvation.

1Peter 1:1-2
¶ Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.

1Peter 1:3-9
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

1Peter 1:10-15
¶ As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look.

1Peter 1:13-16
¶ Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written,
“YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”

1Peter 1:17-21
¶ If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

1Peter 1:22-25
¶ Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. For,
“ALL FLESH IS LIKE GRASS,
AND ALL ITS GLORY LIKE THE FLOWER OF GRASS.
THE GRASS WITHERS, AND THE FLOWER FALLS OFF,
BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER.”
And this is the word which was preached to you.

{{{ A Living Hope, and a Sure Salvation,
if you have taken the time to do more than just read this as a book, but rather have taken time to read and absorb the words above that are found in First Peter 1:1-25, you should understand what Father God and the Lord Christ Jesus have done for you.

This is not just an old story in some old book,
it explains your salvation, if you want it.
This is important.
So take the time to go back and slowly read it aging.
No explanation is needed the words the other used are rather simple to understand:
“in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.”  }}}
