Exodus 34:1-17
¶ Then God spoke all these words, saying,
¶ “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
¶ 1 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
¶ 2 “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. “You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
¶ 3 “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not [fn]leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
¶ 4 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. “For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.
¶ 5 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
¶ 6 “You shall not murder.
¶ 7 “You shall not commit adultery.
¶ 8 “You shall not steal.
¶ 9 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
¶ 10 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

The Ten Commandments from GOD
1
“You shall have no other gods before Me.”

Father GOD spoke these words to Moses so that Moses could share them with us. And even as Father GOD was speaking to Moses the people were creating an idol to worship. Now days man makes idols out of all kinds of things, even people.
   a. The environmentalist worships the creation: The philosophy of global warming, trees, animals, fish, stars…..
   b. Mankind in general worship, money, riches, wealth: The pursuit of wealth is one of the strongest idols today. It is excepted by most of mankind. taken for granted and unquestioned, the worship of this god even to most Christians is excepted as a necessity to guarantee future security. This god is also called Mammon, Jesus referred to Mammon in Matthew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Mammon. (wealth)
   c. Cars: The love affair with the automobile. The automobile quickly became a symbol of money, sex and power, with a clear and identifiable, scheme of classifying a person’s rank or order by the model and price of a vehicle. A divider of the haves from the have-nots. When the automobile moves from being a means of transportation to a status symbol, and a gauge to determine one’s social states. and became worshiped by both the haves and have nots.
   d. Fame: Celebrities have been around for a long time. But now printing, movies, radio, TV and the Internet, have given the god of having Fame and being a Celebrity have become prominent. Now days fame and celebrity are largely unquestioned, even among Christians. And being famous is looked upon as being desirable, better than not being, and becoming a celebrity is always something to be applauded. So many have a great ambition or goal to become well known and excepted by many Many parents will sacrifice just about anything for the chance for their child to become famous whether in entertainment, sports or even academia, teaching them that fame is a virtue. The god being worshiped here is not necessarily the god of money, but rather the god of fame and a celebrity status.
   e. Sports: This god is worshiped even in the church, there are churches that will eagerly spend less time sharing the word of GOD so they can have a football party in the sanctuary of their church, this god is so worshiped that even an interruption cand be looked down on and bring the wrath of the idolator participating in the ritual of worshiping the game. These idol makers will install this doctrine into their children and the worship of this gods. This god is widely accepted among the church goers.
   f. Education: Yes, education has become a god, and a status, it functions in the same manner as fame and being a celebrity.

This is just a small list of the thing’s mankind latches on to and worships rather ten turning to GOD and worshiping Him and Him alone. You need to realize what you have alowed in your life that is taking you from Father GOD.

What i want to encourage you to do is to prayerfully evaluate your life and make sure nothing has become more important to you than your relationship with God. Use this list as a guide to help. Ask yourself, what are the idols in my life?

Here are 4 questions to ask yourself to identify idols in your life:

Where Do I Spend My Time?
Where Do I Spend My Money?
Where Do I Get My Joy?
What’s Always on My Mind?
Actually, think about those questions. They will lead you to what either is an idol or what you might be tempted to make an idol. Spend more time in prayer asking Father GOD to show you what is an idol in your life. Idol worship today might look different, but it still exists. We shouldn’t let anything, even what we as mankind see as a good thing, take the place of God in our life.

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and will despise the other. You cannot serve GOD and wealth.”

Luke 16:13 “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and will despise the other. You cannot serve GOD and wealth.”

1 Timothy 6:9-10 “For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”

But mankind will say;
Your wrong, these things aren’t our gods! We don’t actually worship these things. “I don’t love money, just like what it can do for me”. “Money provides me the time and things that provide: diversions, entertainment, leisure time, hobbies, pleasure and they are all just Innocent things not idols.” Really?

   1. The test of time and attention: How much time, devotion and unquestioned loyalty do i give to this “diversion”? What about passion and intensity of devotion and depth of loyalty? How much time energy and even money go into gaining praise and admiration of others” How much time is stolen from the things of GOD?
   2. The ability to step back to question and evaluate: Do you ever question or evaluate what you do and why you do it? Are you willing to step back and question your loyalty and where it lays? Have you ever taken the time to ask where the line is between being interest in something and worship it, to be aware when you cross that line? To question your loyalties and dedications by the word of Christ?
   3. Take the time to check your devotion to GOD: When out in public do you take the time to pray for a meal? Do you choose to do the right thing in public even knowing that it will be looked down on and criticized by the world?
   4. take the time to check your loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ. evaluate where you spend your interests, time and money what has your attention. What is first, second, third, fourth….? Whatever is first is your functional god, and the others become filler.
   5. Look at what you do and where you do it:. What you do and where you do it is what you worship Does what you do and where you do it; show and speak of the virtues and values of the kingdom of God.
   6. Examine yourselves to see whether you are living by faith in Christ. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that as a believer in Jesus Christ He is in you?

1Corinthians 6:19
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

2 Corinthians 13:5
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?

Isaiah. 42:8 “I am the Lord, that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to idols”

Psalm 81:9. “There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not bow down to a foreign god”

Malachi. 3:7 “Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts”

think about it. What is in your life that comes before GOD

The Lord Jesus has given us warnings and warnings upon warnings, the Revelation of Jesus Christ in the book of Revelation has been taught many many many times and yet the main points of the book seem to be over looked by so many.
The points below are taken from the book of Revelation.
Jesus says “I am the Alpha and the Omega, who was who is and who is to come the Almighty”
“Do not be afraid Iam the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen: and I have the keys of hell and death”.
“I am the one who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this
“I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you cannot bear with them which are evil, and have examined them which say they are Apostles, and are not, and have found the liars. And you were burdened, and have been patience, and for my Names sake have labored, and have not fainted”.
“The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life, says this: I know your tribulation and your poverty but you are rich, and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews (Christians) and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear what you are about to suffer”.
“I know your deeds”
“I know your tribulations and your poverty”
“I know where you dwell” “I know your deeds; [] your love and faith and service and perseverance and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. [] that you have a name that you are alive but you are dead. [] you have kept My word and not denied My name. [] that you are neither cold or hot, I wish that you were cold or hot.”

Each letter to each church (each one who calls him or her self a Christian) Jesus states
“He who has an ear, let him hear wat the Spirit says to the churches.”
Revelation 2:7, 2:11, 2:14, 2:17, 2:29, 3:6, 3:22

to him who overcomes;
2:7 “To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.”
2:11 “he who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.”
2:17 “to him who overcomes, to him I will give hidden manna an di will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.”
2:26-28 “For he that overcomes and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over nations, and he shall rule them with a rode of iron: and as vessels of a potter, shall they be broken. Even as I received of my Father, so will I give him the morning stare.”
3:5 “He that overcomes, shall be clothed in white clothing, and I will not put out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his Angels
3:12 “he who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God and he will not go out from it anymore, and I will write on him the name of My God. The new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.”
3:21 “To him that overcomes, will I grant to sit with me in My throne, even as I overcame, and sit with My Father in his throne.”

Now here is what our eyes should see and understand, so that we can be overcomers to receive what Christ is offering us.

The Revelation of John
1:3 Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

1: 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, Which is, and Which was, and Which is to come, even the Almighty.

2: 4-6 Nevertheless, I have somewhat against you, because you hast left your first love. Remember therefore from whence you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works: or ells I will come against you shortly, and will remove your candlestick out of his place, except you amend. But this you hast, that you hatest the workes of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate

2: 10 Fear none of those things, which you shalt suffer: beholde, it shall come to passe, that the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you may be tryed, and you shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithfull unto the death, and I will give the crown of life.

2: 14-16 But I have a few things against you, because you have there them that maintain the doctrine of Balaam, which taught Balac to put a stumbling block before you children of Israel, that they should eat of things sacrificed unto Idols, and commit fornication.  and so you also have them with you that maintain the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent each one of you, or ells I will come unto you shortly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

2: 19-28 I know your works and your love, and service, and faith, and your patience, and that your works are more at the last, then at the first. 20 Notwithstanding, I have a few things against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to deceive my servants to make them commit fornication, and to eat meats sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit fornication with her, into great affliction, except they repent them of their works. And I will kill her children with death: and all the Churches shall know that I am He which searches the minds and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according unto your works. And unto you I say, the rest of them of Thyatira, As many as have not this learning, neither have known the deep things of Satan (as they call them) I will put upon you no other burden. But that which you have already, hold fast till I come. For he that overcomes and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over nations, And he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and as the vessels of a potter, shall they be broken. Even as I received of my Father, so will I give him the morning star."

3: 2-3 Be awake, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before God.  Remember therefore, how you hast received and heard, and hold fast and repent. If therefore you will not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you.

3: 8-11 I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength and have kept my word, and have not denied my Name. Behold, I will make them of the Synagogue of Satan, which call themselves Jews, and are not, but do lie: behold, I say, I will make them, that they shall come and worship before your feet, and shall know that I have loved you. Because you have kept the word of my patience, therefore I will deliver you from the hour of tentation, which will come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come shortly: hold that which you have, that no man takes your crown.

3: 15-20 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you were cold or hot. Therefore, because you are luck warm, and neither cold nor hot, it will come to passe, that I shall spew you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing, and know not how you are wretched and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. I counsel you to bye of me gold tried by the fire, that you may be made rich: and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the same of your filthy nakedness does not appear: and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and amend. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock. If any man hears my voice and open ye door, I will come in unto him, and will dine with him, and he with me.

Every one of us fits the description of more than one of the descriptions from above, the question is will we take head, will we open our eyes to see what the Spirit of GOD will tell us? Will we or are we willing to change our ways and follow after the teachings of Christ Jesus. Can you, will you make the statement
“as for me and my house, we chose tis day to serve the lord.”
Thank about it!

Matthew 5:18-19
“For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 5:22
“But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’ shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.
Therefore, if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.
Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, so that your opponent may not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. “
Truly I say to you, you will not come out of there until you have paid up the last cent.”

Matthew 5:37
“But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil.”

Matthew 6:2
“So, when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men.
Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men.
Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.”

Matthew 6:14
“For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”

Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

Matthew 6:25
“For this reason, I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”

Matthew 6:27
“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?”

Matthew 6:28
“And why are you worried about clothing?”

Matthew 6:34
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

This is just the tip of the wonderful things Jesus has told us about, That we have nothing to fear, we have no need that He does not know about and that through or by our faith in Him he not only can but will provide all our needs for He knows them long before we ever ask, but if we are not willing to listen to His words and follow them why should be believe that He would do anything for us for He says Obey My commandments.
And what is His greatest commandment you may ask?
Here it is.
Mat 22:36
Jesus was asked; “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him,
“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

If this has interested you pick up a bible and read all of Matthew it is filled with the teachings of Christ Jesus and tells you how to live in true peace.
Don't just think about it, pick up the Bible and find out for your self the wonderful things that Christ Jesus has for you.

We call it Easter but what the day truly is, is day of our Lords resurrections, and in part the day of our reresection. For with Christ fulfilling the words He spoke in the synagogue to the Jewish leaders and people
In John 2:19 He states “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up” they had Christ crucified and three days later He rose from the dead, fulfilling His statement.
At His crucifixion we are given the opportunity for the forgiveness of our sins and the healing of our body’s by our acceptance of what He has dun for us.
By rising from the dead He has given us assurance He will fulfill every thing He has told us.

Read Matthew 5, 6 and 7 to know how to live for Him and what He has and will do for you.
In John 6:37 Jesus said to them,
“I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe.
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day.
For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

In Deuteronomy 31: the Lord is speaking to His people (which if you have confessed Him as your Lord and savior you also) “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, He will not fail you or forsake you”.

And in Hebrews 13:5 He tells us “Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said “I will never desert you, Nor will I ever forsake you,”

Yes Christ was crucified but in three days He rose from the dead fulfilling His promos to each of us, the question is our you willing to except His promos given to you, will you give back to Him what He so freely gave to you?
What did He give to you,, His life.
Are you willing to give Him yours?

Mat 14:25-31
And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear.
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” Peter said to Him, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

O ye of little faith, why do you doubt? Jesus has healed thousands of people feed thousands of people and cast out thousands of demands. we read about it and set in teachings of it , but yet when it comes to getting out of the boat our faith only last a little wall.
Why??
Why do we doubt the power of Christ in us??
Why do we doubt the power of Christ Him self??

Peter had Christ with Him, but we have Christ in us and we are in Christ, but still our faith is week, is it we really do not believe what we have read in the word of God about Father God, the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, is it we put our faith in men, our selves and the things of the world?
True men of God need to stand in the faith in the Lord Jesus,
turn from men, self and the world for victory but with faith in Christ stand bold believing in Christ for healing, protection and our needs (food, clothing and shelter).
We talk to the non believer about coming to Christ in Faith believing that He will forgive them of their sins and give to them eternal life.
But yet will turn right around and rather then to put faith in Christ themselves for provision, and health they turn to the world of men.
O ye of little faith, O ye of little faith, O ye of little faith.
We say it is by faith in Christ we are saved from the ever lasting fire of hell, we say it is by faith in Christ all our needs are met. but when in reality we lay aside and forget the approaching storm, the approaching judgment, to strive to have more, to run to a doctor for healing, to manipulate and connive to have more.
Faith in Christ: to put our lives in His hands and except what He bestows unto us as enough, to walk in faith with out holding on to or keeping one foot in the world just incase.
O ye of little faith.

if i have no worldly wealth so be it, if i live in failing health so be it, if this body stops glory be to Christ. i choose to place my faith in Christ and in Christ alone,
for He has said "I will never leave you nor forsake you"

Mat 7:7-14
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

their are few who find the faith within them self to place them self on the alter for Christ, placing their total dependence on Him. So many who say i am a Christian still run down that broad path headed to the wide gate thinking they are doing good.
When in reality taking hold of and applying that small mustered size seed of faith will take them down the narrow path and through the small gate.
O ye of little faith, O ye of little faith.
what will you do??
