Revelation 3:14-22
¶ “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this:
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.
So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
Because you say,
“I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,”
and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,
I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich,
and white garments so that you may clothe yourself,
and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed;
and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline;
therefore be zealous and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and will dine with him,
and he with Me.
He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne,
as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Just as the Lord said to the Churches of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and now the Church of Laodicea;
He is saying to each of us who call Him Lord,
those who clams the name of Christian.
In case you haven’t noticed:
Every time Christ the Lord (Jesus) has stated;
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
He says Churches these letters are not just righten to one church each, or to seven churches,
these letters are righten to all Churches: the church the bride of Christ.
They are righten to All for ALL Churches to taken to heart,
to be adhered to and followed by all those who clam the name Christian. (to be Christ like)
These letters were not righten just for the people back in the day, these letters were righten for all to adhered to through time until the return of Christ for His bride,
His bride the church.
Those; the true Christians.
It is important that this section gets your utmost attention GOD does not mess around with us or His words.
And you should take this seriously.
Christ Jesus says:
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot;
I wish that you were cold or hot.
You think you can play church one or two days a week and not get judged for the other five or six.
You think you are saved because you quote the word of GOD?
if so know this you are only fooling yourself, GOD knows who you are.
You should understand by now that He knows you,
what you say, do and think,
Do you fear God?
You should!
First Corinthians 6:12 – second Corinthians 18
You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own affections.
Now in a like exchange—I speak as to children—open wide to us also.
Do not be bound together with unbelievers;
for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness,
or what fellowship has light with darkness?
Or what harmony has Christ with Belial,
or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols?
For we are the temple of the living God;
just as God said,
“I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,”
says the Lord.
“AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN;
And I will welcome you.
And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty.
Rather straight forward;
we are not to take part in the evil of this world we are to be dedicated to Christ Jesus and Him alone,
Psalms 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments;
His praise endures forever.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 4:7
“The beginning of wisdom is:
Acquire wisdom;
And with all your acquiring, get understanding.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
James 1:5
But if any of you lacks wisdom,
let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach,
and it will be given to him.
But those who lack wisdom do not understand that the way they live puts them in the position of being lukewarm,
and are looking at the possibility of being spit out of the mouth of Christ Jesus, (being sent to the pit)
It would be better to be cold in the things of the Lord than to be lukewarm in the things of the Lord.
Being lukewarm deceives others and gives faults witness of Father God and Christ Jesus.
And Jesus right out says:
“so because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of My mouth.”
Mankind thinks so highly of himself that he thinks himself rich due to the money he has, or the things he has position of,
thinking he has nothing he needs from Christ Jesus.
Not having the wisdom to know or understand they are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.
Jesus tells us how to remedy this situation in our lives:
He says, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich,
and white garments so that you may clothe yourself,
and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed;
and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.
The way to punches these items from the Lord is in His word, not only taking the time to read it but to apply His word to our lives
and to live out His instructions He has given to us in His Holy Bible.
Christ Jesus says;
those whom I love,
I reprove and discipline;
therefore be zealous and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and will dine with him,
and he with Me.
He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne,
as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Here are a few scripters that you might want to be aware of:
Psalms 119:115
Depart from me, evildoers,
That I may observe the commandments of my God.
Matthew 7:21-27
¶ “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
And then I will declare to them,
‘I never knew you;
DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them,
may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them,
will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”
Wil you be the wise and build your foundation on the rock?
(the words of GOD)
Or will you be the foolish and build your foundation on the sand?
(the world and its ways)
Will you choose to be turned away when Christ our Lord retunes for His Church?
Or will you hear the words enter in My good and faithful servant.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Will you answer the knock at the door of your heart?
The door of your soul?
Jesus is waiting for you to answer His call,
but He will not wait forever,
His return is inevitable He is coming back just as He said He would.
Will you be ready for Him?
Or be found lukewarm and wanting?
This choice is yours to make,
no one can make it for you.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Matthew 25:1-13
¶ “Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent.
For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them,
but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps.
Now while the bridegroom was delaying,
they all got drowsy and began to sleep.
But at midnight there was a shout,
‘Behold, the bridegroom!
Come out to meet him.’
Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.
The foolish said to the prudent,
‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
But the prudent answered,
‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too;
go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’
And while they were going away to make the purchase,
the bridegroom came,
and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast;
and the door was shut.
Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’
But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’
Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.”
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Think about it.
But not for too long He is returning as a thief in the night no one knows when their last breath will be,
but after that last breath is eternity.
And your eternity will be either spent in the presence of the everlasting GOD of creation or in the pit of damnation.
Your choice.
Chose ye this day whom you will serve.
It could be your last.
Build your foundation on the rock of Christ, trimmed your lamps, fill your lamp and flask
The way to do this is to not just know the word of GOD but to live it,
to be saturated with it,
to as the world would say
“be so heavenly minded that you are of no earthly good”
1Timothy 4:6-10
¶ In pointing out these things to the brethren,
you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus,
constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following.
But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women.
On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;
for bodily discipline is only of little profit,
but godliness is profitable for all things,
since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.
For it is for this we labor and strive,
because we have fixed our hope on the living God,
who is the Savior of all men,
especially of believers.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
as for me and my house, we choose to serve the LORD.
Will you?
