Revelation 3:1-6
¶ “To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this:
“I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die;
for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.

So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent.
Therefore if you do not wake up,
I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.

But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments;
and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.

He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments;
and I will not erase his name from the book of life,
and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Just as the Lord said to the Churches of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum and Thyatira and what He is now saying to the Church of Sardis He is saying to each of us who call Him Lord, those who clams the name of Christian.

Christ Jesus knows each of us He know our deeds,
He knows our name,
that we are physically alive,
and He also knows those who use the title of Christian who are dead,
dead in spirit,
alive in worldly knowledge,
willingly excepting participating and practicing it ways,
but dead to His ways,
you may be able to talk bible, to sound godly,
to sound wise to the world,
but are dead to the reality of the world of GOD.

Dead to Godly wisdom and understanding.
We are told to ask God for wisdom and that He is willing to generously give to those who ask in faith.

Colossians 1:9-14
¶ For this reason also, since the day we heard of it,
we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all
spiritual wisdom and understanding,
so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,
to please Him in all respects,
bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might,
for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience;
joyously giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness,
and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

James 1:2-12
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
And let endurance have its perfect result,
so that you may be perfect and complete,
lacking in nothing.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God,
who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But he must ask in faith without any doubting,
for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea,
driven and tossed by the wind.
For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;
and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.
For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass;
and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed;
so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial;
for once he has been approved,
he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

We are told:
Wake up,
strengthen the things that remain,
which were about to die;
for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.
To remember what we have received and heard;
and keep it to hold fast to it,
to repent of our sin (our lack of dedication to know the Lord and His ways).

Christ forewarns us if we do not wake up,
He will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.

Matthew 24:36
“But of that day and hour no one knows,
not even the angels of heaven,
nor the Son, but the Father alone.

With this in mind we should at all times be expecting the return of the Lord, Continuously living our lives in the manner that is acceptable before Father God.

Romans 3:22-26
the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe;
for there is no distinction;
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith.
This was to demonstrate His righteousness,
because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
for the demonstration,
I say, of His righteousness at the present time,
so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

By repenting (that is to confess your short comings, then turning from what you believe in the world and turning to the word of GOD for your instruction and direction)
Asking the Lord Christ Jesus for forgiveness;
Your soiled garments can be changed for white.
Through repentance you can be made worthy and clothed in white.

“He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments;
and I will not erase his name from the book of life through repentance (turning from the world to Christ) Christ Jesus says;

“I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels”.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Christ Jesus is the only one who can erase one’s name from the book of life,
And this will be dune to those who do not repent and follow after Him.
Don’t you think it would be a grand idea to turn from the world and turn to Him,
To seek His face,
to be made worthy.

If you do not know Christ Jesus as your Lord all you have to do is with a honest heart ask.
Ask to be forgiven, confess Him as your Lord and savior.
Ask for His wisdom and understanding,
pick up the Bible and reed the books of Matthew, John, Revelation learn of His love for you and of His free gift of redemption.

Ask, talk with Jesus except His forgiveness and let His spirit teach you the ways of the Lord.

If you are a believer in and a follower of Christ Jesus
take what you know of the Lord and His word the Bible
and apply it in your life,
turn and walk (no run) away from the world and its ways and walk in the way of the Lord.
you can not serve two masters.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
