Think about it:
When you woke up this morning what did you first think about / what was the first thought that came to you ?
Did it have to do with Christ and His plane for your day or did it have to do more with the world and it’s ways?
When 1,400 people were asked what was your first thought when you woke up this morning, sadly only .9 answers had anything to do with the Lord not even 1% or less than 14 people out of 1,400 acknowledge Christ when they first woke.
i think if we were to be totally honest most of us would have to say that most days this is true.
What if we all woke and asked the question; “Lord thank you for a new day, What can i do your you today? “
Instead of thinking of things of this world or yourself.
We are to be in the world but yet not part of the world’s ways,
The Question of the day:
If you are a Christian this world is not your home, so than why are you so attached to worldly things?

Have you ever taken the time to look at a flower I mean really look close at a flower, or is your life so fast you can’t take the time.
God made flowers so amazing the peddles on a Iris have always amazed on the east side of the home i grew up in we had a patch of iris that was 24 feet long and 4 foot wide filled with every color you could think of and when they would come out i would spend hours looking at them the fine hears that in the inner pedals had me the first time i noticed them the color variations in just one flower is just amazing
Then in the back yard along the fence we had a bed that was 100 foot by 4 foot that was full of Dahlia from ones that grew to be 1 inch across to ones that were over 12 inches across, my favorite were the ones that were about 1.5 inches across and a perfect ball, i would set for hours looking at them each little pedal the same as the bigger dahlias but so small.
And one day it happened I was out weeding the flower beds and it came to me that God had made each one of the varieties of these flowers but the situation and the surroundings the flowers were in made a big difference in how the flower grew and what the flowers were feed can make the difference in if the flower would grow to be healthy or not.
And as i was working it settled in me that it was and is the same with me, it is the same with all of us if we are feeding ourselves bad food we will not grow up to be what God intended us to be nor what Christ desires us to be or do, and if we are in the wrong environment listening to the wrong talk our lives cannot live up to the full potential Christ has set out for us
Don’t just take the time to smell the roses take the time to look at them
and take the time to look at your life, what are you looking at and listening to every day is it alowing you to grow to the full potential Christ has for you, or is it holding you back or perhaps even killing your spiritual groth.

“It is written, you shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve”.
The simple words of Christ which we are to obey, So why is it as Christians we worship and serve so many different things and people?
Work for or be in the service of
To perform duties for
To be employed by
To be obedient to
To carry out the wishes of
To be of service to
To make a contribution to
To perform duties for
To carry out duties for
To show extravagant respect or admiration
The act of showing respect and love
To honor or respect
To show admiration towards an object or person
So what do you serve, and who do you worship?
Something to think about
Who or what comes first to your mind the Lord or the stuff, things and people of this world
Chose this day who you will serve

When man sticks his head in the sand instead of the Lord
i have had the opportunity and experience over the last few months of being made aware of how bad we as Christians look when we deny the truth and refuse to see the truth of what takes place not only around us but of our own lives.
a man who claims to be a Christian but has chosen to listen to worldly wisdom and is now looking at criminal charges after being setup to take the fall, and in this situation he still refuses to see that his worldly friends and their advice is taking him down a bad path, and if he keeps pushing could end up in jail.
a man who teaches the word of God but when it comes to personnel application only applies the parts that best suit him, and refuses to see the world around him for what it is, even defending those who are evil, as the people around him he hunkers down he uses scripture as a defiance not only for himself but to the ones who are doing wrong, refusing to see the reality of the evilness of those he has chosen to consider as friends.
Putting your head in the sand is not the way to deal with sin in your life or in the world, being blind to the situations in your own life or in the world around you can and chances are will lead you down the wrong path.
In Mathew 7 we are told Matthey
¶ “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
“For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
¶ “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. “A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. “So then, you will know them by their fruits.
¶ “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
¶ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
“And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
“The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”
Both of these fellows have put them self’s in a bad and dangerous position, they are both walking down the broad path which leads to destruction and neither is willing to listen to, or see the reality of what is going on in their own lives or in the world around them
And because the one is a bible scholar this comes up
¶ “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Yes we are to treat others as we are self’s would like to be treated, so does that mean we go along with the sins of others because we don’t want anyone to comment on our sin?
i believe what it means is we are to treat everyone with respect, kindness and with love, It does not mean we put up with tolerate or take part in the sins of others we do not walk in the pathway of the sinner.
¶Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sites in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Both of these men are walking in the path of the ungodly by listening to the twisted truth they speak,
Who do you listen to? who do you take your advice from? who do you defend and justify? who do you look to for salvation?
Is your head in the sand?

Matthew 7: 6
Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
i understand grace and mercy but i also understand this scripture to be saying that we as Christians need to be cautious about what and to whom we share things with.
i have seen a lot of us giving away the holy things the Father has given us and then be torn down, the Lord gives you a vision of what He has for you, or wants you to do, this is a holy gift from God, and we turn around and tell someone, and then they discourage you by telling you either how hard or impossible or impractical you are being, and are allowed to steal the holy blessing the Father has planned for us.
i have seen this both in and out of the church. And there are those that we share the Lord with and they then use your words to draw the life out of you; like people that do come to church and bible studies. They use the Christian language to suck up to you to get favor with a Christian or Christian group, they use the holy words of God to consume the time of the Christian and wear them down spiritually, and in turn this .tears down the holiness God has placed in us. i don't quite know how to say what i seem to know deep down inside, but i have seen Christians torn down and completely worn out by people. then, (they call it witness to them) to the point they don't have the energy to do the things the Lord has given them to do. When the Lord gives someone to you to witness to i believe it is not only a joy to the one doing the witnessing but refreshing and up lifting to our souls, not a tearing down of the one doing the witnessing.
