God Is Love
John 3:16 -17
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”
First John 4:7-14
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.”
[[ “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.”
“If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.” ]]
First John 4:15-21
"Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
We love, because He first loved us.
If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.
[[ i encourage each of you to take a deep look at your own life, a true look at how you live.
GOD is love, not the love that most of us speak of but pure love a love that is read about in First Corinthians 13, if you pop back to the posting
Children of God Love One Another:

The attributes of love was posted, or even better yet pick up a bible and read
First Corinthians 13:4-13
This love we are talking about is love between believers in Christ Jesus.
And through and by this love the world will know we are of Christ Jesus, and if you chose to live in love with one another in Christ,
That love will even affect the world, but don’t expect the world to love you in return.
We have been warned that the world will hat us,
John 15:18-21
“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.”
In John 17:22-26 Jesus is speaking to Father GOD. Take the time to read this, look at each statement and let it soke in, these are the words of Christ Jesus the son of Father GOD , our redeemer the one who has loved us before we were.
John 17:22-26
“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them,
that they may be one, just as We are one;
I in them and You in Me,
that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me,
and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me,
be with Me where I am,
so that they may see My glory which You have given Me,
for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
O righteous Father, although the world has not known You,
yet I have known You;
and these have known that You sent Me;
and I have made Your name known to them,
and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them,
and I in them.”
Now take the time to read it aging and let it soke in, then read it aging ]]

[[ loving someone does not mean excepting lies or giving in to deception, We are to test the spirit of those who are speaking so not to be miss lead. ]]
Testing the Spirits First John 4:1-6
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them.
We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us.
By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
[[ such good advice, but yet advice so many disregard. Just because someone is a good speaker does not make them right, now does it make them a Christian (a follower of Christ). It does not matter how well some one is dressed or how well they may speak; deception is deception, and to blindly follow someone is still not the smart thing to do.
There are so many false prophets and teachers both in and out of the churches today but it seems most just except what they say and are miss lead down a pathway that does not lead to the Lord Jesus Christ, and the masses follow the lies with blinders on their eyes.
If you have excepted the Lord Jesus, He has asked His Father (Father GOD) to send the Holy Spirit to dwell in you to be your teacher and to guide you through life. And it is the Spirit of GOD that, if you will listen, will open your eyes, ears and your spirit to know something is wrong with what you are seeing or hearing.
We are told that every spirit that is from GOD confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, and that every spirit that does not confess Jesus Christ is not from GOD.
The antichrists are in the world today they are from the world and of the world seeking worldly things such as material goods and power, and those who follow after such thing are not of Christ but of the world, worldly people like to listen to the misleading deception of the antichrists because it feeds their desire for the same.
But those who are of Christ Jesus desire the things of Christ, which has noting to do with worldly things but rather the things of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In Matthew 22:21
Jesus makes the statement
“render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.”
In other words give God what is Gods, and give to the world that which is the worlds. Or leave the world to worldly things and give God what is Gods. Jesus is GOD. Who paid the price for you at the cross? That’s right Jesus (GOD) So as a believer in and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ you belong to Him so give yourself back to Him and leave the desires of the world behind.
Test the spirits of those you are listening to and spending time with know if they are of GOD or of the antichrists, if they are of the antichrists then turn from them to Christ Himself. ]]

First John 3:13-16
“Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren.
He who does not love abides in death. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”
[[ Jesus has told us that to not be angry for it is the same as committing murder
Matthew 5:21-22
“You have heard that the ancients were told, ‘YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER’ and ‘Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court. But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’ shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.”
Jesus loves you so much He was willing to be sacrificed for your sins so that you may live for ever with Him in heaven and not have to be condemned to an eternity in hell.
We are to be like Christ He forgives up, He laid down His life for us, and askes us to do the same for our fellow believers, He tells us over and over to love one another.
The question is do you truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, if so then why do you not love your fellow believer, your brother in Christ? ]]
First John 3:17-18
But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
[[ i believe it is greed, selfishness, a lack of gratitude and lack of concern for Christ and others that leads to refusing to help a fellow believer (a brother) in need.
Christ put your life before His own by hanging on that cross, He did it because He loves you. We are to be like Him, we are to be willing to give of our self for others, Jesus did and does what pleases the Father, Father GOD and we are top do what Jesus did and does, lay down our lives for our fellow believers our brothers in Christ. ]]
We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things.
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
[[ John 15:12-17
“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."
Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
And He said to him,
“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.
This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Do you keep the commandments of the Lord?
Do you love your fellow believer?
Do you love your brother?
Or are you hatful, greedy and have No gratitude for what Christ has done for you?
Look at your life and the way you treat others, how would you like it if Christ treated you in the same manner?
Think about it.
Repend of your anger
Repent of your disobedience
Repent of your lack of gratitude for what Christ did for youat the cross
Be willing to give of what you have and your life for your fellow believers in Christ Jesus.
Put others before yourself. ]]

First John 3:11-12
For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brothers were righteous.
[[ what is love, how does it act: (First Corinthians 13)
Love is patient
love is kind
Love is not jealous
love does not brag
Love is not arrogant
Love does not act unbecomingly
Love does not seek its own
Love is not provoked
Love does not take into account a wrong suffered,
Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
Love rejoices with the truth
Love bears all things
Love believes all things
Love hopes all things Love endures all things.
Love is a choice and it is an action Love is something you have to chose to do, then work at doing, it is not something you just wake up one morning and say I love and then you love, every moment of every day it has to be your choice to Love.
John 15:12-17
“This is My commandment, that you love one another,
just as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
You are My friends if you do what I command you.
No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
This I command you, that you love one another.
Matthew 22:36-40
Jesus was asked “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.
This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it,
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.
On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
In the bible it has been explained to us that Father GOD sent to earth His son Christ Jesus that me may be saved from the great rath of Father GOD, that we are all sinners fallen short of the glory of GOD.
Jesus came to provide us a way to be cleansed of all our sins and to stand as our avocet before the Father in our behalf.
He gave His life for ours. (Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.)
For doing this for us should we not give our life for Him in return?
Should we not follow His commandments?
And follow them with a heart of gratitude?
Jesus has many times asked us to love?
Jesus has told us that Love is the greatest and foremost commandment?
(“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.)
It has been explained to us what Love is (read above 1 Corinthians 13)
All of the above has been directed at the believer and how one believer in Christ Jesus is to treat another believer.
But in most churches to day there is strife and arguments between believers and all because we refuse to love one another, and do not follow the guidelines of what Love is. (First Corinthians 13) but rather to chose to do the opposite and strive to put ourselves first rather then our fellow believer before our self.
“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
Want the world to change?
Then change the way you act and treat others.
Obey the commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ and Love one another as Christ has loved you, willing to give your life for your brother, putting their needs before your own.
Will you choose to obey?
And live in this manner?
Love is patient
Love is kind
Love is not jealous
Love does not brag
Love is not arrogant
Love does not act unbecomingly
Love does not seek its own
Love is not provoked
Love does not take into account a wrong suffered,
Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
Love rejoices with the truth
Love bears all things
Love believes all things
Love hopes all things
Love endures all things.
Living out love is your choice, you say you love the Lord Jesus, you say you love the Father?
Then show it by the chooses you make, chose to love your fellow believer.
Choos to fallow the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ rather then your own desires. ]]

First John 3:4-10
Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.
[[ have know some who have read this and stated “we are human we sin, there is no one who does not sin so no one can ever make it to heaven!” and you may have come to this conclusion yourself. But wait,,,,, you have to take in to consideration the third and fourth words, (practices - sin)
Let's look at the definition of the word practice;
PRAC'TICE,
1. To perform certain acts frequently or customarily,
2. To form a habit of acting in any manner.
It is not a thing of going through life never sinning, it is not having sin as your daily way of life.
Romans 3:21-26
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; FOR ALL HAVE SINED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD, BEING JUSTIFIED AS A GIFT BY HIS GRACETHROUGH THE REDEMPTION WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS;
whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, SO THAT HE (JESUS) WOULD BE JUST AND THE JUSTIFIER OF THE ONE WHO HAS FAITH IN JESUS.
If you have repented and recived Christ Jesus as your lord and savior your sins have been and are forgiven.
But the one who continues to live in sin practicing it as a way of life, it could be questioned if that one in reality actually ever did repent and followed the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. ]]
everyone who has their hope fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ; purifies himself, just as the Lord Jesus Christ is pure.
Where is your anchor set?
Where is your faith set?
If it is Christ Jesus your sins have been forgiven, but that does not mean it is ok to continue in sin, if you have come to Christ, out of gratitude for what He has done for you, you should strive to not continue in sin, and when you do sin immediately ask Him to forgive you and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you from committing it aging.
Back tomorrow with more from First John 3
