Are you ready?
No matter if the Lord is coming back today, next week, in a month or in 30 years.
If you are not ready for His return you will be left out just like the five foolish virgins.
Matthew 25:1-13
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent.
For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps.
Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep.
But at midnight there was a shout,
‘Behold, the bridegroom!
Come out to meet him.’
Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.
The foolish said to the prudent,
‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
But the prudent answered,
‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too;
go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’
And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast;
and the door was shut.
Later the other virgins also came, saying,
‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’
But he answered,
‘Truly I say to you,
I do not know you.’
Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

Let's start here:
The word virgins let’s insert Christians
And take a look at “foolish”, “prudent” and the statement “got drowsy and began to sleep”
There were ten Christians,
Five of them went to church showed up on Sundays and Wednesdays, sang raised their hands prayed and heard the word of GOD;
but never applied what they heard to their hearts or the way they lived,
and did not repent,
so were not forgiven.
And there were five Christians who showed up on Sundays and on Wednesdays, sang the songs raised their hands prayed and heard the word of GOD;
But the songs were worship to their Lord,
they applied the word of GOD to their lives.
They were still human and made mistakes but applied the word repented of their sins and asked for forgiveness.
The foolish Christian played the game, and lived their lives for their selves.
The prudent Christian made the word of GOD their goal in life.
“Got drowsy and began to sleep”
If you look at the church in the United States to day it seems many are asleep, If we look back at Revelation, we see the Church, christians, being warned of their ways;
Revelation 2:4
“But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”
{you got lazy and went back to your worldly ways and concepts.}
Revelation 2:14-16
Speaks to churches (Christians) who put up with and participate with people who teach Balaam and the Nicolaitans.
16 “repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth”
Revelation 2:20
‘But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.”
Are you sleeping wall Jezebel’s are miss leading you and those around you?
Revelation 3:2-3
‘Wake up,
and strengthen the things that remain,
which were about to die;
for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.
‘So, remember what you have received and heard;
and keep it,
and repent.
Therefore, if you do not wake up,
I will come like a thief,
and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.
Revelation 3:8
‘I know your deeds.
Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut,
because you have a little power,
and have kept My word,
and have not denied My name.
{are you awake enough to hear the word of GOD?}
GOD has opened the door for you to enter His Kingdom will you repent and walk through?
Lets end with the sleepy church:
Revelation 3:15-22
“I know your deeds,
that you are neither cold nor hot;
I wish that you were cold or hot.
So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
Because you say,
“I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,”
and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,
I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich,
and white garments so that you may clothe yourself,
and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed;
and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.
Those whom I love,
I reprove and discipline;
therefore, be zealous and repent.
Behold,
I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
He who overcomes,
I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne,
as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”
He who has an ear,
Will you hear what the Lord is saying?
Will you repent of your lazy ways?
Will you apply your life to the words and ways of the Lord?
Or will you be one of the foolish, and be spit out of the mouth of Christ?
We are told to seek His righteousness and His Kingdom first,
We are not to seek the world and its ways.
What will you choose?
Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Many will say to Me on that day,
‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name,
and in Your name cast out demons,
and in Your name perform many miracles?’
And then I will declare to them,
I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.”
Are you being
Foolish or prudent?
