Will i take responsibility
Will i walk in the way he has desired me to walk?
Is this not the same situation we find ourselves in concerning our Lord Christ Jesus,
He who gave of Himself gave His life so that we may live.
Matthew 26:39
And He (Jesus) went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying,
“My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”
Matthew 26:42 He (Jesus) went away again a second time and prayed, saying,
“My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.”
Jesus was and is willing to go through great suffering to make sure the will of His Father, Father God was done.
Should we not be willing to do the same to make sure His (Christ Jesus our Lord),
His will is done in our lives.
The lives He has given us by giving of Himself to be beaten and hung on a cross to die,
to pay our debt we can not pay.
Should we not live a life filed with thankfulness, gratefulness, gratitude with a love for Him that surpasses all ells in our lives?
Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will
of God is that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
By the mercies of God;
for it is by GOD’s mercies and the mercy of our Lord Christ Jesus we have been given the opportunity to live with Him in Heaven,
to live in the Kingdome of God.
present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice;
to present our body as a living and holy sacrifice we need to give our lives back to Him,
we are to live our lives by following His commandments,
and the greatest of these are found in Matthew 22
Matthew 22:37
And He (Jesus)said to him,
“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it,
"YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”
Father God loves you so much He sent His Son to earth to be sacrificed,
to pay for your sins,
a debt you could never on your own pay.
Christ Jesus loves you so much that He was willing to give Himself up to be crucified to pay your debt,
to pay your debt He was savagely attacked, brutally beaten but yet willfully gave up His life for you to pay that debt, your debt.
For someone who has done so much for you what are you willing to do for Him?
He gave His all for you, will you give your all for Him?
Or is selfishness so grate we can only think of ourselves, our own desires?
Have we become so entangled in this world we can’t comprehend what the Lord Christ Jesus has done for us.
Are we so self-centered we can’t except and obey His commandments?
Mark 16:15
And He (Jesus) said to them,
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
The gospel:
The gospel is good news,
the good news of what God has done in Jesus Christ.
All human beings everywhere, are in revolt against God,
and because of it we are, or were under his judgment.
Although God stands against us in judgment because of our sin, It is quite amazingly he also has great love for us,
The gospel is the good news of what God, in His love for us, has done through our Lord Christ Jesus, through Jesus’s death and resurrection, to deal with our sin and to reconcile us to Himself.
Christ bore our sin on the cross.
He bore the penalty we would have to pay,
And by so doing He has turned aside God’s judgment, God’s wrath, from us, and cancelled the debt of our sins.
The brokenness of our lives he restores,
our shattered relationships with Father God he has rebuilt,
the new life that we have in Christ is granted to us only by the grace of Father God.
We can only be received by faith as we repent of our sins and turn to the Lord Christ Jesus.
We confess Jesus as Lord, and joyfully bow to Him, and Him alone.
The gospel is the good news of what Father God has done in and for us through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus.
He gave up His life for us should we not do the same for Him?
John 3:14-21
“As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe has been judged already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”
“”For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.””
In John 14:15 Jesus said
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
Mankind is not worthy of what Father God and Christ Jesus have done for us,
But their love for mankind has given us the opportunity to except their love.
Are you willing to except it?
Are you willing to give the life you have been given by them, back to them.
To live by their commandments?
If so, know what is acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship
And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
so that you may prove what the will of God is that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Treat others the way you would like to be treated,
Live a life set out to help others,
Put others before your own wants and needs,
Give to others even when it hearts,
Be a friend to the unfriendly,
No longer look upon yourself as better than anyone ell;
for you are now living on borrowed time, and that time is running out.
Matthew 16:28
“Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
The most important questions to be answered:
Are you grateful for what Christ the Lord has offered you?
Will you repent of your sins and accept Him as your Lord?
Will you do as He has asked?
Will you love Him with all your heart, mind and soul?
Will you obey His commandments?
Are you willing to live the life He has given you at the cross and live it for Him?
He was savagely beaten, hung on a cross killed to pay your debt, a debt you could never pay, so that you can live.
What will you do for Him.
Will i take responsibility for my thoughts and actions so that i may serve the Lord Christ Jesus my redeemer?
As for me, Yes i will do my best to give Him my all,
For every breath i take is from Him,
And i am willing to give each back to serve Him.
Are you?
Will you own up to what Christ Jesus has done for you?
Will you humble your self before the one who died for you?
