The Book of Jude is a rather short book but at the same time a powerful book.
The Holy Spirit through Jude gives us some warnings.
And that is what we will be looking at and applying to our lives, as everything written in the book of GOD, read it as if it has been written directly to you, and how it describes how we are to live, along with what we are to do, or not do.

The book of Jude is a warning to us all.

Jude 1:1-2     the introduction
Jude, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are the called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ: May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.

Jude 1:3-4
Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

[[ 1. first warnings:
We are to contend earnestly for the faith
“Earnestly contend” to fight with all your being for what you believe, as a Christian this should be the teachings, the commandments found in the words of GOD. And not wonder from them.
2. Second warning: certain people have crept into the church unnoticed. There are those in the church, even pastors / teachers who twist the words of God for their benefit; (for power and money, but ultimately to drift believers from Jesus
These are truly ungodly people, today they are coming more and more out in the open, there are so many pastors and so called leaders of major denominations who are openly denying that Jesus is the son of God, who are drawing many away from the faith of Christ Jesus. (i pray you are not one of them)  ]]

Jude 1:5-7
Now I desire to remind you, that you should know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe.
And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

[[ we need to understand that even after the Lord saved a people out of slavery and abuse, He destroyed those of them who did not believe.
Those who live in a life style as Sodom and Gomorrah lived, if you look around and are totally honest you will have to admit we are living aging in a country / world that has chosen to live in the manner of Sodom and Gomorrah. In the movies, music, immoral sex basically immorality is in everything the world is showing you, ( the sad thing is so many have been lulled in to not even noticing it. ) and willingly partake with no hesitation. Being deceived, blinded by one’s own desires, week minded lazy people, being lead astray by the ungodly ]]

Jude 1:8-13
Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile angelic majesties.
But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
But these men revile the things which they do not understand; and the things which they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed.
Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. These are the men who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever.

[[ there is so much in Jude 1:8-13 these are the main take away the Holy spirit impressed me with.
We are told Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil he did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” We are not to dispute or speak judgment against the ungodly but rather proclaim
“The Lord rebuke you!”
For we do not have the authority to rebuke the ungodly that authority has never been given to us, Jesus is our defender, our protection, our provider and our provision. He is our Lord
Jude 1:10-13 goes on to show us how the unbelievers live, what their lives are like and how they will end up. ]]

Jude 1:14-16 It was also about these men that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with many thousands of His holy ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.

[[ Jude 1-16 is a Warnings to us from History, simple reminding us our god is a just GOD, and He will judge each one of us and the judgment on those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ He will condemn to the everlasting fire (hell). We are not to take on responsibility’s that are not ours. And if we have a problem we are to take it to GOD, not try and take care of it ourselves. We need to be grateful for what we have been given and not strive after the things we have not.

For GOD will convict all the ungodly
    a. Those who grumble: (complain is a sin, it shows an ungrateful heart)
    b. Those who find fault: (it is not up to us to find fault, unsatisfactory feature in others)
    c. Those who speak arrogantly: (we are not to regarded or make thigs out to be larger, better, or even worse than they are in reality)
    d. Those who flatter others to gain an advantage over them: (We are not to flatter others, but rather we should do no more than speak the truth)

Humility takes care of a lot of this if we are but humble.

James 4:6
But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.”

James 4:10
Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

1Petter 3:8
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit;

1Petter 5:5
You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

1Petter 5:6-11
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. ]]
