A desire to know the truth, to gain truth and understanding
A few months ago i was woken with the words of Jesus found in Matthew 7:13 and 14 going over and over in my mind not one morning but three mornings in a row, the third morning along with these words the words found in John 14:26 which Jesus Himself has also spoken
Mat 7:13-14
¶ “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
Jesus made very clear the Role of the Spirit of Truth and the Holy Spirit given to us by Father God
John 14:26
“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.”
¶ “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him."
Judas said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going “
“He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Fathers who sent Me.”
¶ “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here."
If we love the Lord our God with all our heart mind and sole we will be given the Spirit of Truth and the Holy Spirit
One so that we can see the truth and one as a comforter and teacher
It has been made clear to me that any and all teaching must ultimately come from the Holy Spirit NOT man, the Fathers teachings are from His desire to see us in His presents in His kingdom, man’s teachings even the best teacher/preaches with other motive for some it is the fame and glory given to them by fellow man, for some it is the money and yet for others it seem to be the power they think they have over others, taught from a worldly concepts of the bible and the words of Christ Jesus.
It is your and my responsibility to run every teaching we hear through the Spirit of Truth and the Holy Spirit our Teacher, this can be done by living our lives 24/7 for the Lord ((for as a Christian that is what our lives should be))
Lord today allow my eyes and heart see and filter all things through your Spirit of Truth, and soften my heart, mind and spirit to listen to the soft quiet voice of the Holy Spirt so that the Holy Spirit may comfort and freely teach me your ways.
